One upside to all the social media upheaval is it's gotten me back into feeds in a big way.

RSS has a lot in common philosophically with the . Makes me think of what might have been... and what yet may be.

@MrDrumble I never left but I DID leave Google and all their products back around the time they deleted their RSS service, Google Reader. I left for a variety of reasons (mostly privacy related), but that weighed in.

After much debate back then, I considered self hosting an aggregator, but I switched to and have been happy with it for many years. An aggregator makes finding feeds much more convenient. The free tier of their product has served me well.

For I have tried several over the years, but have settled on the popular app, which talks to and keeps all my reading progress in sync across and very neatly.

@blhue I am very picky about my feed's layout, and ended up using Inoreader cause I like their cards view a bit better than Feedly's.

Trying to curb the desire to make my own reader exactly how I like it.

@MrDrumble I also returned to RSS Feeds and landed on Inoreader. The one thing I'm running into is that some websites like Axios don't have or restrict the creation of RSS feeds for their sites.
