Welcome to Kbin Cafe☕, a general-purpose, fun, and open instance of /kbin! You can view more about us here and read the rules for the community here. Feel free to register!

This magazine, /m/CafeMeta, is where meta discussions and announcements will be posted. Work on the server is ongoing and we closely follow the Main branch of the /kbin source tree.

Things to be aware of:

  • Some magazine avatars are missing. You can see this in action at https://kbin.cafe/magazines. This is a work in progress and I'll have more to report soon.
  • As server demand increases, we may enable and disable registration as necessary to ensure the service continues operating and does not interfere with other instances on the fediverse.
  • As /kbin is in rapid development and things are changing from day to day, instability may arise from time to time.

Thank you for providing a new kbin instance (with a cool domain name).

I noticed another small issue: The name in the top left corner is broken into 2 lines on small displays which makes the topbar way bigger. I guess an image or non-breaking-space could fix that.

I reverted the website to use the generic Kbin logo for now. Please let me know if this resolves it for you! (Real logo coming soon.)

do you know why there some magazines show that they have a number of threads/microblogs, but nothing shows? these are local kbin.cafe magazines.

even the one i made /m/dabs i made 1 post but it can't be seen. yet my post on CafeMeta showed.

There have been quite the number of bugs beyond our control with federation, which in turn have effected some of the local magazines. I've been working on a potential fix and I'm collaborating with folks in the /Kbin Matrix space to try and resolve. I'll be posting an announcement very shortly -- thank you for your understanding, and your patience.
