I have become a streaming junkie since I got a chromecast. I even stream pirated shit I already pirated and saved to a drive. Actually streaming pirated shit I already downloaded and saved to a drive years ago. I just hope certain apps remain available for this magic forever. I think it’s key to own a dumb TV (not a smart TV). I don’t need no 4K. Got me a Ch-cast HD. Got me some wi-fi. Got me some Stremio.
So I set up i2pd on my Android phone, but I’m not sure how to torrent over i2pd. Mostly I use a VPN on my phone with libretorrent. I used to seedbox most everything.
Not just FF though. I have a few installed via Vivaldi. I imagine other browsers can too right? Not sure why FF specifically gets mentioned regarding this.
I’m using the standard UI on web and Jerboa on mobile, but I’m going to try alternate web UIs like Photon and Alexandrite and find a good one that also works as a PWA so I can use the same client both on my computer and on my phone. I’d much prefer to use the same client across computer, tablet and phone.
I was using Jerboa and Thunder when Jerboa got buggy but this thread turned me on to Voyager which seems to work best amongst them, although I don’t love the theme.
I used to like LiftOff but it started to get buggy after a while, then i switched to Eternity since i used Infinity when i was in Reddit but i didn’t like it so i ended up using Voyager which is preety good so far.
I wish my tablet had a headphone jack. I have to use an adapter but I would want one on there by default. I haaaaate bluetooth headphones. Too much delay. And no, I don’t have a phone.
I use bluetooth earbuds for work - I used wired buds up until this job, but I ended up constantly ripping them out of my ear by accident, UUUUGGGGHHHHHH. But I would still be using wired if I could. My husband also uses wireless earbuds at work, but needs a headphone jack to play music through his ancient work truck. He had an adapter while he had a phone w/o a jack, but then he couldn’t charge his phone while listening to music. I know there are splitters out there, but we didn’t end up buying one, and he just replaced his phone with a new one that includes a headphone jack.
