some ppl seem to think most of us who r monetized on tiktok / other platforms are making bank. i do joke about the “victimhood monetization” thing but let me disabuse u of this notion lol. social media does NOT pay well unless u constantly receive a metric fuckton of engagement.

hilariously, my highest earning video is the one where i lay out the facts about the bowtied shit. i only posted this after they called me a “used up 30 year old”, joked abt passing me around to their friends in discord, then accused me of “monetizing victimhood”. so thanks guys

how did that video make $300+? these are the analytics provided by TT. ive only gotten these kinds of metrics once before, with the infamous “EiThErNeT” video, but i didnt make any $ from it bc i hadnt monetized yet. very unlikely i’ll have many more videos perform like this.

there are creators making good money on socials—but they’re the ones with videos that are consistently garnering millions of views & hundreds of thousands of likes. most of us are making peanuts, if anything at all 👍🏼

so next time u see someone accuse a woman of “monetizing victimhood”, remember they’re 1) sexist AND 2) full of shit :-)
