dunno, but my folks (boomer generation) raised me to say please and thank you. good manners and politeness dont cost anything, after all. in practice these days I generally only use that verbiage when I’m writing up email at work.
yeah I can see that - myself, I’m building an RV (vanlife on steroids) so I can gtfo of the city and reduce my cost of living by a large percentage (and probably retire early).
investment opportunities are endless really. I’d buy real estate & develop it for resale - relatively easy profits there. US FDIC only insures up to 250k per account, but there are other country’s banks out there - the Swiss banking system was a popular choice in the past but I’ve heard that the Cayman Island banking system is good as well. invest in tech - small businesses, as a few tens of millions isnt going to go that far, but 100 mil is good seed capital.
or, shit, just retire on it & pass the remains to your descendants.
generally no, but sometimes yes - mostly jotting down phone numbers, or if one of my many different passwords change until I can memorize it, (ie: at work), etc
other than that, the only time pen touches paper is when I write a check.
i suppose I can see how that’d be helpful. i personally have discovered that as I get older I need less numbing - quality of life has improved quite a bit so perhaps thats why? not sure - sample size of one & all
xp was pretty solid. win7 was iffy for a year or so then it was solid. win8 was trash but 8.1 was really decent. win10 is their best OS yet imho, though it had similar issues to win7 - kinda shit at first. thinking I might skip win11 until it gets to be solid as well - probably 2025/26 at the earliest.
