  1. Treat luggage as hazardous, expose it to extreme temps in storage, and don’t bring it indoors if possible.

  2. Travel clothes go in closed plastic bags until they can be hot washed and dried, etc.

  3. If you see even one bedbug, treat floors with diatomaceous earth, then HEPA-vacuum it up, masked, after 2-3 days.

DE is safe to eat but is silica dust. Don’t breathe it or get it in anyone’s eyes. Pets and small kids need to be off the floor or out the door. https://lepoulsdumonde.com/

Anyone have a list of universities that now ask in faculty hires some version of:

"Have you ever been found responsible for sexual misconduct by a uni or professional association; are you currently under investigation; or have you left a job while under investigation?"

...or any articles about this practice?

I'm asking bc my department is hiring and our university won't let us ask this, and we'd like context as we argue with them about it

@wrigleyfield @academicchatter Wouldn’t the truly problematic people just lie when you ask?

Surely their former employers won’t reveal that info, otherwise HR would get it from them.
