Barbie has a bigger audience target, and even kids can go see it and have fun. I wouldn’t bring my toddlers to see Oppenheimer, I’d go watch it with only my wife but that requires finding someone to watch after them for at least 3 hours
She finds it easier to just put the DVD in there, as it will autoplay the whole thing without any intervention, and I take the time to make a cover and everything.
I still burn DVDs for my grandma who lives several hours away. She doesn’t have a computer or the Internet at home, so in order to share video clips from the kids I convert them to a DVD she can play on her TV. She’s so happy each time she receives a new disc in the mail and it allows her to see them grow between visits.
I believe the tracker doesn’t emit the same signal when the phone the AirTag is paired with are communicating directly. So as long as the owner of the airtag is in the vicinity it will not be considered as following/stalking you.
You are severely limited with what you can do with the AirTags if you don’t have an iPhone. You need to pair it to an Apple account, and you don’t have access to Apple’s Find My Device network on Android.
Apple’s and Google’s network aren’t inter-operable and do not communicate with eachothers and will not transmit location data across both.
The only thing the Android device will be able to do with it is report the presence of an AirTags without a connection to its paired iOS device in the vicinity as an anti-stalking feature, make it ring to facilitate its discovery and the ability to scan it’s builtin NFC tag to read the owner info.
For now I subscribe to multiple communities, but I really hope the Lemmy devs figure out a way to let each user create a community group.
The way I envision it is that you can create a group where you can combine communities on your end, and you can then cross-post to these communities when you post to that community group.
On the other hand, there would need to be a way to ensure that cross-posts aren’t generating a ton of duplicates to those subscribed to multiple communities, and I’m not sure how the comments on these cross-posts should be dealt with. Maybe the comments should be kept separate per cross-post, or maybe if you have these communities in a group there could be a way to display the comments from there multiple posts together, to ensure all those crossposts have a change to get some interaction on other instances?
Then there’s also the possibility of spammers abusing the system.
