ich finde ja nicht fair das so ein nas automatisch bei einrichtung formatieren will... selbst wenn das ext4 raid in der theorie kompatibel sein sollte (synology)

@schenklklopfer in dem fall hier ist das noch nur theorie, nein... aber soweit ich lese sollte das wegen standardkram beispielsweise gehen die in ner linux box normal zu mounten ... und so special waren die platten hier grad auch nicht ... gut ... kein lvm aber trotzdem

Ah yea here we go, I contact #futuremotion as the front footpad starts to separate at the sensor layer and they just reply with:
"We don't sell or ship the components of the footpad and you'll just need to pick up a new footpad set on our website. Let us know if you have additional questions or concerns! "

Edit: i am about 4month out of warrany lmao.

(this means no sensor layer but a bundle of two footpads for $120 + import + shipping if bad luck on availability in germany)

nope no chance, they won’t give me a single pad but even have the audacity to try to calm me by the thing then having 6mo warranty. Cool. won’t feel as bad then 16mo later i guess?!

@kurth the problem is that there is already dirt in between and stuff, even airbubbles could distract the sensor… it is not yet off by far but sensor patterns are already visible.
insurance… the thing isn’t legal here anyway ^^

@schenklklopfer die hdds an meinem odroid loggen weiterhin fleißig smart errors und load durch timemachine ist etwas hoch aber samba war grundsätzlich nicht kompliziert und timemachine jammert nicht

(okey, nach suspend erzählt der mir manchmal ich wär zu blöd zum unmounten aber sonst gehts)

alright, dinge vom float europe shop scheinen anzukommen und der fender hat den ersten stresstest von hermes überstanden 😅
kam "leider" lose, gepolstert, aber halt nicht wie erwartet in seiner verpackung und als zwei separate teile.
wirkt sehr solide, nur spaltmaß nach vorne übertrifft leider nicht futuremotion :onewheelpintxy:

so since disabling uas just switches to another possibly worse issue, i have ordered usb to sata adapters (until now its external seagate drive parts)... if this doesnt help, not sure how / if to proceed

its the startech ones .. at least for raspis they supposedly work .. fingers crossed for the odroid

no uas errors so far... again on etc4 mdadm raid as btrfs had the thing crash in a way that i didnt see the dmesg output anymore ... still... improvement ... 3d printed boxes dont fit the thikk connectors anymore tho

hm do i read correctly that its quite common to get oops with on machines? at least coming from manjaro, now being on debian with kernel 6.3, i can reproduce. its fine for very lightweight operations but its not a fan of rsync or timemachine.

alright, moved to ext4 with mdadm as (assuming) btrfs seems broken on all images if found and ... that actually booted. boy can it be frustrating to find working isos for the c4 (that also ship with newer kernels). i am back on manjaro now.
for zfs on the 5tb storage, the thing wouldnt have enough ram i think.
