I'm a fan of the SANS Institute and the Internet Storm Center. I'm a registered user at both. I subscribe to the SAN public email newsletters and various SANS YouTube channels. I subscribe to the ISC Diary RSS feed and listen to the Stormcast podcast.

I also subscribe to some other cybersecurity-related RSS feeds (but nothing too technical).

@jerry I bought a new host for my virtual machine, going from a Windows 7 system with 8GB of RAM to a Windows 11 system with 32GB.

The Windows 10 virtual machine that I actually do stuff in can go from 4GB to at least 16GB of RAM.

Plus the virtual hard drive will move from spinning rust (and it probably is actually rust as old as this host system is) to an SSD.

I don’t remember the last time I bought a dead tree book. I realized I have no idea what I’m doing so it might be time to figure that out.

@jerry Hold the book in your right hand. Put your left thumb on the right-hand edge of the front cover. Pull the cover outward and leftward from the body of the book. 😜

What is your favorite ssh client for Windows?

@jerry I rarely need to use an ssh client anymore, but when I do, I use PuTTY.

I don’t think I ever had a prescription nose spray before with a “heavy machinery” warning. I can say that the warning label gives good advice
