Jenna Ellis was a loyal Trumpette, now posts this:

"Don Jr’s pick for press sec is claiming I am “disloyal harlot” & “going to hell”

No mention tho' of Jr’s divorce, his gf’s divorce from Newsom, or The Best Christian Ever screwing a porn star while his 3rd wife was pregnant

Apparently true Christianity is not based on belief in Christ as Lord, but rather belief in Trump as Savior, King & next Pres!

Repent & trust 27-D chess, guys… personnel picks WILL be better this time!"

@GottaLaff I've read that evangelicals now think that Jesus was too woke.

@GottaLaff Also, he says things like "Go and sin no more," instead of piling up stones to kill the woman. Forgiveness! Incomprehensible for the MAGA.

You have to piece yourself together. Bit by bit. Part by part. Sometimes with clarity and precision. Sometimes by the light and confidence. At other times in the midnight hour. Fumbling in the dark. But you have to be assembled before the ego can be stripped away. You have to understand the structure of who you have been, before you can move beyond who you are.

@duanetoops @bookstodon So, you are assuming a certain amount of fragmentation as a starting point. Is that warranted? And you are assuming that someone wants to be someone other than who they are. That also seems questionable. I'm not getting it. Why not just be who you are?

@duanetoops @bookstodon I see. Is he a Buddhist? Or a Taoist? When I responded, I was thinking more about garden variety mental health, but this seems like a larger project.

We're told to climb, to stretch, to grasp, to cling. But, to where? To what? To whom? On the other side of everything we've ever been through, what is waiting for us? What do we hope to find there? What is calling us home? What is the home we're calling to? At some point we have ask ourselves why it is we reach, if we ever hope to reach what we pursue...

@duanetoops @bookstodon This culture doesn't offer much to aspire to other than wealth. Wealth is like a scoreboard for success. The wealthy sometimes do things that make them feel virtuous, but it is really all empty. Art, insight, knowledge, health, friendship, helping others, a sense of community, are all more valuable, but devalued by this culture. It is no wonder you are asking these questions.

@RedPenRabbit @edibuddies But fiction is a simulacrum of life. Life happens in chronological order, doesn't have a plot, and is full of events of little significance. A story represents life in a distilled and focused way and in doing so may deploy tools, such as these words, to create its simulation.
