@sab@clueless_stoner@yads Yea when the blackout started I didn't know what I was doing. Created a username on lemmy.world and some subs. Found about mastodon created an account there and didn't realize I only needed one Lol. I use the lemmy username for upvoting and my subs but I use Mastodon for everything else. Comments, replies etc.. I like the local and fedeversetabs on Mastodon. I guess everyone got there own niche.
@MadCybertist@SonNeedGym@hydra@Hedup Yep. They might seem like there talking but you will be talking to yourself. They have to federate to be able to talk and see all there comments and post. you might see some stuff now cause its cached but once they reboot or whatever you won't see anything
@Goathound@Hurts@Izzent Maybe he was over here a long time ago. Went to reddit. Saw all the popular communities and Created all of them. I would signup for another instance, create the community you want. then link everyone. enough people then they will get bigger then the one on lemmy.world instance. Worth a shot
Because they don't get listed by browse.feddit.de you'll want to browse https://kbin.social/magazines to browse "magazines", which is what they call communities...
@serfraser@youshouldknow What's happening? Are you on an instance and want to see everyone's comments/post on other instances? What client are you using? Are you on the website? Are you on desktop ?
@Cameri I came to Android to use rif for reddit. It's gone now and now i'm using the mastodon app chatting with everyone on lemmy.world and other instances. I have a main account on lemmy.world but i just use it to moderate my sub check my notifications and that's about it. I really like my S23 though
I am new refugee to lemmy
I want to familiarise my self with the rules and workings of this app/ website how moderation is done and etc so I can be extra careful
Sound Off: How many 10+ year redditors have left the site?
I was just browsing a thread on c/nfl looking for new mods. There were multiple 12+ year Redditors there offering to help....
YSK not to post everything to the !lemmy.world community
Why YSK: to help keep the platform in order and help make the admins and mods’ work easier....
Are some instances/communities closed off from others?
Still trying to get my bearings here....
Why is the mod of conservative also the mod for LGBTQ ?
@Hurts...
YSK that kbin.social is now federating, adding hundreds of communities and ~26k more users content
Because they don't get listed by browse.feddit.de you'll want to browse https://kbin.social/magazines to browse "magazines", which is what they call communities...
Why do you personally prefer using an Android phone?
Everyone has their preferences, I would love to hear why you guys prefer using Android!
