People in power want people to be apathetic and uneducated. Any protest that reminds people how fucked we are, and that there is this massive looming problem that the people in power are doing nothing about upsets the people with power.
Greenpeace recently protested on top of British PM Rishi Sunak’s private mansion while he was away. And they still got swamped with “YoU cAnT pRoTeSt LiKe tHaT” and people coming up with the most contrived reasons to say they are hypocritical.
It literally does not matter how these people protests, people will always say they are doing it the wrong way, because chuds dont actually mean it when they say that. They simply dont want them to protest at all, so they can pretend its not happening.
Yeah this was always going to happen after a big rush. On any website a certain % of users that sign up won’t like it and will move on. If you have a steady influx of users, you wouldn’t notice it, but because of lemmys explosive growth due to reddit shitting its pants, then just like we saw a tonne of people leave at once, were now seeing a tonne of people leave at once, and now that that explosive user growth is normalising, for a short time we will see an overall decline in users until the amount of leavers normalises as well.
If were still losing people in a month, then we should be worried.
Also there is a VERY high chance he just straight up dies before he goes to prison, or even before the court date. Which might be the worst possible scenario, as the right wing crazies will go fucking ballistic with conspiracy theories blaming the deep state or the clintons or whoever the current boogeyman is and we will literally never hear the end of it
This is “gravy” in the same way American squirt cheese is “cheese” in that certain people will call it that. But its categorically a completely different thing.
