Multiplex, an app to watch torrents together. It provides an experience similar to Apple’s SharePlay and Amazon’s Prime Video Watch Party, except for any torrent instead of a specific streaming service. Thanks to WebRTC, it doesn’t require a server to sync playback, and can use a gateway if a viewer can’t use BitTorrent....
Could anyone tell me about how torrent streaming works? Is it just the file being downloaded to a server and streamed to a bunch of viewers, or something else?
I still use reddit for purposes ranging from getting solutions to pastimes. Same for discord. There are a few communities on it that I need to be connected, most notably dev related....
I like to be part in the discussions in the topics that I’m interested in, or at least just read people’s opinions. I already don’t use any other social media, and am not very social irl due to circumstances. Your suggestion would ensure that I turn into a hermit, and might as well live under a rock.
I know the saying, but I don’t understand the benefit of your comment. If you say the horse is me, the only way it works is I give up my access to the learning community. If the mean the discord admins/mods, they’re still working on scripts for discord bots, so no they won’t be switching anytime soon. The server is Odin Project btw, and the size of new users won’t let them switch.
Already looked up privacyguides to no avail for my specific use case. You can save your time by simply not interacting with any post you don’t like, since you wouldn’t know if the poster made a good-faith attempt to find info and couldn’t find it.
For me, rarely do I need to ask a question and if I do it is usually too hard and I get nothing anyway.
It’s amazing that your already know the result to your future questions. I don’t, since I’m human.
I want to stream videos with audio on my pc to my friends. I’m on linux, and video streaming is broken on discord (no audio of the source gets shared). Looping audio through mic (Soundux) results in poor audio quality, while discord-screenaudio just provides stuttery video. Any suggestions what to do?...
yeah that’s one of the reasons I’m looking for alternatives. It’s almost always too difficult to set up for discord, or straight poor quality or unreliable.

Why’s there no modded WhatsApp?
Why are there good mods for Discord (Aliucord, Vendetta…) and YouTube (Revanced), but no good mods for WhatsApp?...
