I don’t remember much of angel but in supernatural it’s eldritch creatures posing as billionaires to control and dumb down humanity to use them as a perpetual food source. Actually pretty deep and prescient for an older show.
Right? I feel like it hasn’t. My first thought on seeing the link was ‘holy shit penny arcade still exists’ followed swiftly by ‘oh dear God what is this hideous malformation of my nostalgia’ shortly after the art loaded.
Hidden as in you can’t see it, not hidden as in you don’t know it’s there. Everyone knows phones have front cameras. And if someone could get access to that, they could watch you just as easily through a not hidden front camera…
The people who owned and lived in it would maintain it, because it would be their home and they own it. He only has to maintain it because he’s getting other people to pay for it for him as an investment. The building wouldn’t just poof disappear if it were owned by a housing coop, and people could actually be earning equity with their living situation instead of paying for your FIL to spend 95% of his time fucking around doing nothing and 5% fixing leaks or whatever.
I mean he failed to comply with discovery subpoenas. To me that says that he was more concerned with what might turn up than he was with having to pay damages in this case. If he loses this but avoids larger legal cases because of it that may be shady but I wouldn’t call it stupid.
How is that different than talking in English? The cat still learns those sounds and their meaning, you’ve just added an unnecessary layer of obscurity and complexity.
I’m a sophisticated cat owner. I don’t use English like all the other peons, instead I use my own made up language of whistles and sounds and gestures to communicate.
