Romania. We are in the EU but not in the €urozone. We still use the local currency. For the same amount in € the rate is 6.40%. Total ripoff compared to the Northern/Western parts of the EU which is why I didn't sign shit. They can go fuck themselves.
I ask because I've been doing a lot of research the last few weeks and Google search has really let me down. I've been finding better results on DuckDuckGo and Bing. Is this a recent thing with Google or am I out of the loop? Any other search recommendations?...
I can't be bothered to turn off my VPN and since Google Search is dropping CAPTCHA bombs on me every time I try to access it I dropped it. I Throughout the week I rotate between Startpage, DuckDuckGo and Bing. However lately I'm more inclined to use Bing Chat and ChatGPT.

I live in Romania and I upgraded to a 10Gbps fiber to home $10/month subscription almost 2 years ago. They pulled the fiber wire in my home around late 2013 when I started with a 1Gbps connection.
There was something that resembled free market anarchy in telecom when internet was brought to Romania, which is why it developed so fast. No big telecom cartels that stifled free enterprise like in the US of A.
