Straight up: I’m a slut, submissive, service slave. I like being reminded of my place as a faggot. Indeed I revel in it. I am Autistic and have ADHD. All that said, there is this nuance between degradation and still being respected.

So I’m having this increasingly excited conversation. With a man I’d really like to be abused by in the very best ways. And then I get “oh so you’re autistic and retarded?”

Full. Stop. Buzkill. 🛑😡

I instantly blocked him. Right or wrong it took me to a very bad place. I might tolerate it once there was an understanding and trust but not right at the start. Sigh.

@trollupsx @actuallyautistic May I ask a question? Was it the words used that bothered you or the context or something else? If he called you names in actual sexual play would it hit differently? Thank you for listening.

FIVE SEX PANICS

In the 19th century there was a panic about masturbation and its effect on the nation on both sides of the Atlantic.

At the beginning of the 20th century there was a panic about women's liberation, in sex and politics, destroying society.

By the mid 20th century there was a panic about sexual liberation and free love.

Later, in the 70s and 80s, there was a gay panic and gays were presented as predators and deviants.

Now, in the early 21st century, there is a trans panic and its trans and non-binary people who are seen as the social threat.

These are five separate panics across over 150 years, But, actually, they're not separate at all: they are the same panic generated by the same people that comes again and again and again in waves. Its a panic generated by the sexually puritan and socially authoritarian whose politics is that of coercion and control.

This tendency is the ultimate enemy of all lovers of social and personal freedom.

Why do so many people make absolute assholes famous so that they can poison and damage society with their bigoted and toxic views?

Asking for a civilisation.

SOME FALLACIES

Men are 100% XY chromosomes and women are 100% XX chromosomes. FALSE.

Men and women are completely hormonally distinct. FALSE.

There is a male brain and a female brain and these can be 100% distinguished in imaging scans. FALSE.

Human beings either produce large gametes (women) or small gametes (men). FALSE.

How you decide if you see a man or a woman in public on 99.9% of occasions is a matter of chromosomes, hormones, brains or gametes. FALSE. None of these things are available for inspection on these occasions.

A TRUTH

On the overwhelming majority of occasions whether someone thinks you are a man or a woman or not is a matter of if you pass socially as either of those things according to cultural customs. It relies on prior social cues and understandings and has nothing to do with whats in your jeans or your genes.

The idea that sexes, genders or sexualities are "oppositional" as of their nature is clearly stupid.

It in fact makes a lot more sense that they be "cooperative", "interactive" or "harmonious".

Reading about how Navajos envision the universe (a matter of events and processes rather than facts and things) reminds me that to have an objectifying view of the world and its imagined reality is a choice.

It is, in fact, the choice to view things "objectively" (i.e. as being a matter of "objects", "things in themselves", static entities, or things that exist in the world abstractly outside of any relationships) that actually creates them as objects. Objectivity is then a product of a mode of thought and not of "reality".

What difference does this make? Well its the difference between viewing the world as comprised of fixed, static things which have absolute freedom to arbitrate themselves and viewing the world as comprised of changing things submerged in relationships which define and condition them.

So I guess the question we need to ask ourselves is: Can anything exist alone or is everything actually in relationship and mutually co-existing and co-defining?

Mastodon went from 1.2M active users last week to 1.8M active users this week. That's not 70M users overnight, but it's something! 🙂

@Gargron If Mastodon ever has 70 million users then it will have a proportional increase in assholes. I can live without that.
