ZeroHora, to piracy in There are always two sides to every story

I live in the countryside of Minas and I can get the same 1000mbps speeds for less than 20 USD, the quality of smaller ISP has become pretty good in the last decade.

I’m in the exact same position. The pass manager for €12/year is awesome and I want the Mail Plus but the 500GB drive is overkill for me.

I would change “stealing” to “crime/illegal”.

ZeroHora, to linux in My little brother loves the dualboot setup I installed for him. He says "It's like iOS"

He is wrong though? 🤔

Sorry for the delayed response.

I never try Mint so I can help much but after sometime searching I found a program called Alacarte that can help you.

Man that’s beautiful, you used something to generate the script or you wrote it before reinstalling?

Plus having to basically rely on a built-in app database/store to easily install apps… Kinda stinks to me, and not being able to simply download an installer from a website and having the program, whatever program, up and running reliably within a minute, the concept seems ridiculous… I’m not sure, I could be really spoiled by Windows 10, or simply too used to it.

I’m not trying to make fun of you but that is just too funny. Download crap from website is way worse not only by security standard but for the convenience aspect, is so bad that even Windows have app stores.

ZeroHora, to linux in Why is Linux so frustrating for some people?
@ZeroHora@lemmy.world avatar

I agree with you on that. I started using only Linux in january and I have no problems, but before migrating I studied Linux for about a year, learning docker, using WSL, using FOSS apps on windows, using chocolatey and winget to install/updating anything. My workflow and habits was more Linux like than windows so when I finally migrate I had no surprises.

Is funny that the best way to crack Microsoft Windows is shared in Github own by Microsoft.

ZeroHora, to piracy in Can someone tell me the reason why these people don't want to leave Reddit?
@ZeroHora@lemmy.world avatar

People don't like changes, most don't even have their own principles to follow. For most piracy is just the most convenient thing, same for communities, they go to r/piracy or whatever just because is convenient. When the community moves to another place the convinience also lower so they react to the change.
