Still deciding whether to do the Westknits MKAL - I've bought the pattern & now trying to select, if I do it, what yarn to use.
Went through my stash and have 5 skeins that I think work together. Big decision to choose which 4...lol
Okay weird question, but I've never knit with acrylic before except like a very tiny bit at the beginning of my knitting journey before I knew about blocking.
CAN you ever block acrylic? How does that work? The fibers are synthetic, so they don't do the relaxy thing that natural fibers do...
(I could google but would prefer real ppl help not AI, lolsob)
@MsHearthWitch@knitting when I was a total beginner, blocking (manipulating the object and stretching it and washing it) helped a bit with my wonky stitches... getting it a bit more even. But no magic changes on the finished object.
Je me suis battue tout le week-end avec cette pelote, passant 5 fois plus de temps à démêler qu’à tricoter 😤 😢. Déjà au bobinage ça ne s’était pas très bien passé, probablement parce que le fil de soie est trop glissant. On est d’accord que j’abandonne, je coupe et je prends le fil par l’extérieur ? 😁
I have had a lot of struggle here for 2 days 😤 😢. Time to cut and use the other end, from outside! Does somebody have the same experience with silk threads? @knitting#silk#knitting
