I keep bouncing between this one and Jerboa. I like Liftoff a little more, as it’s easier to handle multiple instances and accounts, but I wish that it had mod tools so I wouldn’t have to go my communities in the browser or PC to do anything mod related.
I don’t care about the name much, but it’s going to make searching for anything on here through a regular search engine cumbersome. Lemmy is just going to bring up results to the late motorhead singer
It’s not spam. These communities don’t just magically spring up from nothingness, there are people that have to contribute to these to get them started and to get them to grow. If you don’t like what you see, then block them, but go take a look at @Martineski profile and you’ll see they’ve done more to help this instance and multiple communities grow than just about anyone else.
Lemmy is still new, if you have a suggestion on how you would like to see things improved good, but complaining about something that you aren’t thinking about thoroughly isn’t helpful at all.
Same with me. Made it even worse Thay I gave my son my overwatch account when we switched to 2 and it would’ve cost me a years salary to get them all back lol
Overwatch was it for me. Loved the game for the first couple of years, then Blizzard did typical Blizzard things and it’s a disgusting pile of micro (macro) transaction shit now. I hate the battle pass format so many games are trying to incorporate now.
I’ve used so many over the years, but have stuck with Viral the last couple of years. It’s a very comprehensive icon set and I like the dark-ish theme.
I think that’s a bit harsh. I have Jerboa liftoff and connect installed and they are all good. Are they as good as apps that had a decade to polish up? No, but they’re pretty damn good for some new apps and they’re certainly nowhere near broken.
You can do that on browser if you know the community name and instance it’s on. For instance if you’re on lemmy.world and wanted to go to c/spaceporn on Lemmy.fmhy.ml you could just enter lemmy.world/c/[email protected] and it’ll bring you to the community through your instance.
Or if you search for !spaceporn in your instances community search tab, it’ll bring it up too.
It’s not elegant, but it makes it easier than searching through a bunch of other similar named communities.
