Question: How do I simply let people prioritize their denial mechanism over their survival?
I'm too warmhearted and have a problem with that, but I am a strong believer in freedom. It's too late to save the biosphere so I might as well stop tilting at windmills and simply encourage everyone to stick their head in the sand whatever way works for them.
This is not a troll. I do need help with this stuff.
You taking care of you might, in some small way, be an example for others to follow if they choose to apply your ways to their own lives.
There exists a saying I heard that's probably invented before I was born over 40 years ago: "You can lead a horse to water, but you cant make it drink."
You could guide them, but you cant make them help themselves to survive.
@Uair@actuallyautistic it's not too late... cause we really don't know what is possible... humanity is at the forefront of its own history. we only know if we keep doing the same shit, things are about to collapse in even the "richest" places, but we also know that no one is the same person today as they were yesterday... we are each growing and changing with the world, and we might evolve faster than we have before now, even by slowing down and stopping some behaviors and trying new ones...
Saturday night at the homeless shelter sucks. Everybody's wasted. I can't go to bed because the dude next to me just got out of prison or something. The only way I could keep him from kicking my bed to fuck with me is to kill him.
I'm considering it.
So I got driven into the common room. There's only two seats by the outlet, and somebody's passed out in one. I'm across the table from, and every drunken aggro fuck comes over to charge phone/ steal from the passed out.

The blue soldiers are the boot on the domestic population, and they come from the lower classes. In the slavery days, they would have lived in the house.

We've had so many interesting discussions, sometimes lively, but only very rarely did I feel the need to block someone.
