Indian newpapers publish anything without any sort of verification. From reddit videos to whatsapp forwards. More than news, they are like an old chinese whispers game which is run infinitely. So take this with a huge grain of salt.
*(pronounced as shitter)*Example: when musk gets a call from the zuck about the fight, he makes excuses about being on the xhitter. Sorry zuck, my ______ is paining and I’m on the xhitter, can’t fight.
Happening to one of my accounts from years. I don’t know which YT mod has a beef with me, but all the comments i make using that account get deleted in a minute on any channel. So i stopped using YT and use newpipe only. I don’t even have the YT app on my phone.
Not a bug, that’s how the apps are designed. If you look at the permissions the telegram app asks you can figure it out. Route audio, view wifi connection, pair with bluetooth devices. When you connect a bt speaker, the OS let’s these apps know there’s a device connected and the apps start. OS and the apps have no way of knowing what you want to do with a connected device.
He means the recent apps or app overview feature. If you drag up from bottom and hold for a few seconds you get a thumbnail view with all the recent apps opened on your phone. In that view, you can select text seen inside the app.
I installed squarehome a few days back and uninstalled it within a few hours. The homepage was too busy for me. Once you set it up, the apps with notifications start animating frequently. If it’s just one you notice it. When it’s 4-5 apps it becomes irritating to use. You either try to ignore them or try to stop them. You miss important notifications if you ignore, and you waste time running after each notification if you don’t ignore. The simple notification drop-down is much better imo.
I had problems with Jerboa too. First it won't login, so i used to just browse without logging in. Then from today it just closes on starting. Got fed up and uninstalled it. Thunder works but keeps showing some blank page with error every minute. Tried wef or something which is a browser app but didn't like it. So ended up using Chrome but it uses too much battery so ditched that for Firefox now. I wonder if there is some rss feed for lemmy.
There was some news years back that compared data collection of apps on iOS (when Apple was taking measures to limit FB) and Reddit's official app was found to be even worse than the FB app.
