Do you judge a book by its cover? I'm thinking of changing the cover of our already-published book!!! 😮
Tell me which cover you would click on: the new one in sunny yellow or the existing cover in sandy beige?
The yellow reflects @TeresaHeartchild's love of life -- and the urgency of getting her freed. It should attract the eye for Amazon clicks.
But the beige may be some book-lover's sophisticated fave. 🤔 What do you think? @bookstodon @bookgaga

Franke James' book cover in sandy beige for "Freeing Teresa: A True Story about Fighting Ableism." The book is sitting on a striped, multi-hued couch.

Somebody made a cover of Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush in Early Middle English.

@Gargron

somehow this is exactly what I wanted to hear on this beautiful, quiet (except for the cats purring) Sunday morning.

Also fascinating because one of my current is "The World Horde: Daily Life in Old English" by Hana Videen.

I think the Ave Maria in Sir Walter Scott’s “The Lady of the Lake” would come under that category … Schubert put music to it but well after the fact.

No. It’s a song the heroine sings to the Blessed Virgin asking her protection as she and her father spend a night in a cave in the wilderness.

Schubert’s composition was for Scott’s lyrics. Roman Catholics adapted it to the Catholic Hail Mary later on!

re-watching "Shadowlands" and it's so amazing how much of a film I can remember 100000% but how much of it also unspools like a stranger, I don't even remember forgetting so many scenes!
But I did love the scenes set in The Eagle and Child, aka "The Bird & Baby" to which I pilgrimaged whilst in last month but sadly it has closed.

I'd hoped to raise a glass to Col Lewis, Jack, and Tolkien.
