Depending on the way it could be implemented I think that's a great idea, I just think that the leaves could be higher up (as they are in real life) to make movement easier, plus, the leaves should break with the bamboo, to facilitate locomotion.

Many people complain that enchanting is too random, and there should be a way to select enchantments, so that is what the scroll would be for. You'd find the scroll in general loot chests anywhere and would be sold by expert clerics for 3 emeralds....
Firstly, clerics sell bottles of enchantment, so they are not that hard to get;
Second of all really like that idea, but I think there could be an improvement, what would you think about single enchanted scrolls being very common (like one or two every chest) and you could be able to combine them like enchanted books;
In third place, thinking about it, It's not a great idea for them to be sold by villagers.
