For Duolingo (app version) expats who are willing to pay ~$5 a month Chegg’s language learning app called Busuu has a similarly convenient app interface but does a MUCH better job teaching grammar in my opinion. I’m learning German and Infinitives were so confusing to try to pick up just using context clues on Duo. I’d tried a couple of the other free options (memrise, lingodeer, the old desktop version of Rosetta Stone) and I think Busuu is the most effective/efficient I’ve tried.
Disclaimer that I was with Duo in the early days when they were still supported by startup money and promising NO ADS EVER. FREE ACCESS FOR ALL, so I am admittedly still a little butt hurt that they moved in the direction they did.
If my dental insurance has 100% coinsurance on preventative and basic care, 70% coinsurance on major care, a deductible of $50, and a maximum payout of $2000, does that mean I can only spend the insurance $ on major services and pay out of pocket for everything else?
@compg318 I’m honored, thank you for taking the time!! They pay 95% of the premium but geeze its awful coverage. The coinsurance thing was really confusing me! I don’t get why preventive wouldn’t be included, I’ll have to talk to my employer:(
How to view a feed of subscriptions only? I’ve gone into the settings and chosen the homepage drop-down that says subscriptions and saved. I’ve also chosen “subscribed ” under the drop-down next to my name in the top right while on the Home Screen. Neither seem to impact what shows up in my feed. Help?
I’ve found my issue! Early on I must have subscribed to some entire instances without understanding what I was doing. This causes communities that you’re not subscribed to individually to show in your subscriptions feed (since you’re subscribed to the entire instance). Leaving up in case it helps others troubleshoot.
