NonDollarCurrency, to privacy in Cleaning up my digital presence - Meta endboss

I think this is a sound way of doing it. Rather than trying to force people to switch and potentially alienating them from using an app like signal and moving away from their usual apps. The people who really want to continue chatting with you will come along for the ride.

NonDollarCurrency, to privacy in Is CTemplar back?

When I search for this it has a WordPress icon. I wouldn’t trust it.

NonDollarCurrency, to privacy in I deleted my google accounts today

Yep, after you realize the majority of the stuff you can buy of Amazon is mass produced trash with zero quality. It was easy to remove.

NonDollarCurrency, to piracy in Android - How to verify that torrent traffic is going over Mullvad VPN?

Go to ipleak.net and activate the torrent check, paste the magnet link into your torrent app while on VPN and it will tell you what IP address it detects, if it’s not the same as your regular ISP then you can verify that it’s using your VPN and not your standard internet connection.

NonDollarCurrency, (edited ) to privacyguides in I just acquired a new PC

If it were up to me, the first boot I would make sure theres no internet access either via Ethernet or wifi that ensures the computer cannot phone home to its mothership. From there either reinstall windows fresh or straight to Linux if you want to avoid spyware.

NonDollarCurrency, to selfhosted in How are you keeping on top of fleet updates?

I set up flexo for Arch Linux update caching and squid proxy for Alpine, Debian. This stops me from having to download the same files over and over.

NonDollarCurrency, to selfhosted in It’s Not Much but It’ll Do!

Hey I do this exact thing as well. Would highly recommend if you like self hosting podcasts to listen to.

NonDollarCurrency, to selfhosted in How do you observe your server functions?

I use zabbix to monitor everything, agent on each device uses around 30 mb of memory and with the Linux templates it can monitor just about everything on the server.

NonDollarCurrency, to jerboa in Clicking into comments section redirecting to totally different thread

This used to happen to me an older version but since upgrading to 0.0.40 I’ve not experienced this anymore

NonDollarCurrency, to piracy in Fitgirl Repacks on Linux

You can but sometimes you may run into an error where unarc.dll can’t run and the programs don’t install. I usually use Linuxrulez as those programs are made to work within Linux.

NonDollarCurrency, to piracy in Mates, today without warning, the reddit royal navy attacked. I've been demoded by the admins.

They are afraid. Gold, just means we need to keep working on making this community better. Stronger.

NonDollarCurrency, to selfhosted in How do you guys have your music streaming setup?

I use Navidrome as the backend and DSub to connect to it. When I’m on the go I use a site-to-site wireguard VPN connection back to my server to listen to music and it also caches the songs so even if I don’t have reception I can still listen to my music.
