Don’t go with alpine and openbsd if you re not so comfortable already. Go with big Linux distros: Ubuntu (or popOS), fedora, open suse tumbleweed, and such. I’d personally recommend pop it Ubuntu, since they are based on Debian, you have huge ecosystem and info
We just came from the chat control odissey. This is so tiring and unjust for those that have agitated lives. We re fighting against people who spend their work schedule entirely on this stuff.

You have that in several European countries. I subscribed to only internet service. However , in many European countries the telecoms work as an oligopoly and sometimes as a cartel. And afraid of losing money with the internet only packages, they make it intentionally less appealing because for more 5€ you get all the other services and sometimes with better internet.
