Every employee thinks they’re gonna be the one to stick it to the man and affect profit motives on their way out. Reality? everyone is replaceable. They do not give a fuck about you or your opinion. Your comments will likely go into the bin or a suggestions pool at best. Corporations do they want and it’s almost always the wrong path.
Nah, since 2007 when the iPhone came out everyone had to have one. Then the 2nd model had GPS and apps in 2008 and blew the doors wide open. By 2010 HTC was releasing phones like the incredible and the “droid” moniker was in full swing - with Apple consistently mopping the floor.
I’d say iPhone fervor kind of died down around 2010 actually.
I’ve already been getting these reminders through the app. I didn’t know that it was time based though and not sensor based. Would have liked the latter if possible.
Well, I hear ya - but a vast majority of what helped Reddit (or any community) pick up, is DIY and self generated content.
If that content can’t be found easily - ex; via search engine, or the content is entirely missing, then it doesn’t really help either cause. That’s just my 2 cents, because let’s face it, the search on Lemmy is fragmented and I think the help of big data could be promising.
