Hey I was thinking about having some kind of blog to document my projects I'm working on and give myself some kind of motivation to finish them. What sites do you recommend to do this?

Also, I don't know if there's a blog site or some tool like that that can help me with this journey. Any would be appreciated 😁

If you need help with the basics of using Kbin, there's a Kbin FAQ by @dannekrose at:

➡️ https://kbin.social/m/[email protected]/t/20459/A-small-FAQ-to-hopefully-help-new-users-to-kbin

The same author has also done a follow-up FAQ for slightly more advanced questions about Kbin:

Good morning Mastodonia!

We are kicking off a new thing:

A day to seek out, and reach out, to stragglers and new folks, to help them learn the ropes and connect with their community.

No Trunkistas left behind!

The Fediverse is more than just Mastodon! :fediverse:

If you like to share photos you might want to check out @pixelfed, an Instagram-style photo sharing network on the Fediverse.

You can find out more and sign up at:

https://pixelfed.org

PixelFed uses the same federation protocol as Mastodon, which means Mastodon users can follow people on PixelFed and vice versa. You can try following a PixelFed account right now such as @Iancylkowski or @JoseMel or @connyduck

You can use PixelFed through a web browser, and there are also free open Android apps like @PixelDroid and FediLab (@apps).

If you love books, the best part of the Fediverse is probably @bookwyrm, a GoodReads-style social reading network.

More info and sites to sign up on are at:

https://joinbookwyrm.com

Because it uses the same ActivityPub protocol that powers the rest of the Fediverse, you can follow BookWyrm accounts from Mastodon etc.

For example, the lead developer of BookWyrm has an account at @mouse

How to get posts from beyond the "invisible walls".

https://mastodon.murkworks.net/@moira/110931803724432543
@moira -

relay.fedi.buzz... What this does is gather posts from instances you're not already talking to and brings them in for you... Here's how to do it as a single user.

Using a tag you're already following, type this into the search box (without spaces):

@ tag-[TagNameHere] @ relay.fedi.buzz

That'll bring up a result. (See picture.) Click on the follow icon. You will see more soon.

How come @feditrends discontinued the option to filter for trending hashtags? There is only trending news now.
