I haven’t finished processing all my photos from my recent wetlands #birding, but I’m particularly chuffed that I caught the end result of this American #crow’s fishing expedition. It very clearly hated getting its feet wet, but apparently it was worth it to make a catch! Very cool #corvid behavior I’d never seen before!

The same bird, standing among rocks, water streaming from its beak, which is clamped tight around a little bitty fish. (Or tadpole: but I think that’s a bony tail!)
