I was a big Greek mythology buff at school. My dad had bought an encyclopedia in the late '70s, and I was learning everything about it via it. Naturally, my favorite character was goddess Athena. All about knowledge & wisdom. The most kind-hearted of the gods too. So I had to paint a portrait in her honor.

Painting at night and using our son's nap time, I finished illustration number 58 for the next book. Only TWO to go! This time, insides of the wood suppliers/custom furniture shop from the series. I had such a fun time researching and drawing all the tools used in woodworking!

Hey there Coach, happy to see a fellow Ecosia user in the wild!
This map seems to be using Mapbox Streets for its’ style featuring vivid colors.

OSM has plenty of styles you can use. Here are some interesting ones that I found so far:
www.mapbox.com/gallery/
openmaptiles.org/styles/
maps.stamen.com//12/37.7706/-122.3782
Toner is my favorite of these, as well as Dark Matter for mapping in the dark.

Though using them depends if they are integrated using Mapbox as we are relying on the configuration of the applet to provide these styles.

It's Leo Season!🦁
Many of our guests are familiar with the garden lion statues, but have you seen this hand-colored print?

In 1786, wrote about the likelihood of purchasing a set of engravings by French naturalist Comte de Buffon, "I have thought that the cuts of the Quadrupeds in Buffon, if arranged in frames, would make both an agreeable & instructive piece of wall furniture."
