My fears appeared to be correct. Now that I knew what to look for, I spotted her occasionally in the cafeteria or on the campus grounds. More alarming, she audited a few lectures I attended. She never approached me, but I could feel her eyes on me. She sat watching and occasionally fingering one of her crucifixes. I considered approaching her, but I thought that would make things worse. Hopefully, she would get bored with following me if I didn’t pay any attention.
Among the falling leaves coloring the landscape in warm shades of orange and red, a Native American curse returns to Maine. Can we fight this evil threatening to destroy our quaint town?
As the harbor explodes before me,
I glance back at David,
his face lit by the orange glow
of the shooting flames.
Before the curse can claim us,
David takes my hand, and we run.

She stood up. Her face was blank, the papers slipped from her fingers and the photos of handsome men fluttered to the floor. “I trusted you. But he was right. You are going to leave me. These...” She waved her hand at the folders.
As a heads up to my #readers, I'd highly recommend catching up on any of my first six #books that you might have missed by the end of this year. My 7th, while still a standalone, is very much tied to everything that's come before it and will likely hit a lot harder for you if you're at least somewhat familiar with one or more of my previous works. #readingcommunity
