Vamos apoiar o #FLOSS
🎨 commission. this is a fun one because i drew everything on their own canvas so i can rearange everything in the room like the unpacking or the sims game.
Old art! Putting these two together since they're "companions" to each other, having been experiments in coloring and inking. Magnus and Max in the left, Magnus and Astemar in the right :meru_luv:
Kind of disappointing when I'm reminded by people outside the #gamedev industry that the vast majority of people don't know the tools necessary or available to them.
You don't need to spend any money to make a game. #GodotEngine is free and open source. #Krita is free and open source. So is #Blender3D.
I feel like a lot of people assume you need to buy tools and an engine and assets because "making a game is hard" and "tools to do hard things cost money because the problems are hard to solve."
I wonder if there are better ways we as developers can do outreach and raise awareness of the tools available for people who want to be developers but have no clue what to even search for.
did a lil something for my half-orc monk i'm playing in a 5e game. they got a new outfit recently so that was the catalyst for this character ref thingy.
I have been on #Lemmy for 25 days, established a new Mildly Infuriating community and I do not miss Reddit one bit!
Though I feel moderating is not my cup of tea. I would love to be able to someday soon pass on the communities to someone who may take greater care and have far more time to invest.
This was always a temporary thing for me as it was just to fill time whilst I waited for my new jobs start date.
@LillianVS same exactly. I managed to recruit a mod from /r/Cardano for my lemmy.world Cardano community. But, I created quite a few other communities that I’d love to pass the mod duties on as well. In each case, I started them because I wanted to protect them from nefarious actors; properly hand over the reins to trusted community members.
I want to transfer my mod duties at lemmy.world for:
🐧 I wrote a new blog entry listing all the changes I made to turn the Lenovo Yoga 370 into my mobile GNU/Linux digital painting device. It's long because it contains detailed instructions for beginners. I hope it is helpful.
