Hawkwinter, 10 months ago @fgusmao @philosophy It does have the benefit of being a 'vegetarian' meat though. I try to avoid any situation where I'm funding the deaths of other mammals. This pharma-protein never had a brain, and I won't be culpable for any deaths by buying it. There are environmental effects to cows and pigs as food too. But yes. It wont come from independent farmers, and will definitely impact their jobs, forcing some of them to transition to farming something else. At least patents expire.
