Marc Andreessen wants you to believe AI will save the world. But just a couple years ago, he was saying something very similar about crypto.
The truth is Andreessen doesn’t actually care about improving people’s lives. His positive vision of a world made better by AI tools is just a means to pump up the valuations of companies his venture capital firm has invested in. Chat GPT is the new Blockchain; People are integrating it in the software just for the hype train and not to solve any real problem.
Why should every application be conversational? We have been clicking buttons for nearly half a century to get 💩 done on computers.
At least with blockchain we knew that once cryptocurrencies went kaput people will come to their senses and it did; Not sure when this LLM nightmare is going to end.
