I have a dormancy question. This is the first one for my one year old Venus Flytraps from seed. I seeded them way to close together (I know better now). I know the best time for separating them out is during the dormancy period, though when is the best time? Is it now when they are dormant for about a month or so with some green on them still or later closer to spring. If the latter do I just move the roots and rhizome?
Flushing and checking the mini bog. Everything is pretty well anchored in at this point, but I still got pretty nervous when pouring off the water. TDS (total dissolved salts) was creeping up (lower is better) and pH should be acidic, but might have been bit more acidic before flushing than the Pinguiculas actually like (not entirely sure on that though). I swapped the lighting to a lower wattage also.
This year I am trying a dormancy setup for the carnivorous plants in a cold storage room next to a wall that should get close to freezing in a few weeks (growing zone 7b) or whenever it stays cold throughout the day. It's a bit earlier than I would usually do, but I want to see how they adjust before fully committing to the setup. The lighting is made for hibernation (Parus overwintering LED) but it's the first year I've used them.
(EN) Can anyone identify these small insects from the pictures? They are on a Sarracenia that mostly lives outdoors on a balcony in Southern Germany next to a river.

Checking in on the very small bog I planted mid-August. The first pic is what it looks like now, the last one is just after making it. There is a lot going on in there that I tried to show a bit with the center pics. Drosera (Sundew) seedlings have sprouted from flower stalks I tossed in there just to see what would happen and some of them are growing on the moss. For watering I just kind of flood it every few days, they seem to like that.
Woohoo! The Venus Flytrap seedlings (planted August 14) are looking good so far. These first two leaves (cotyledon) are non-carnivorous. The moss I planted with them is looking good also. There was more algae with this setup than I was comfortable with so I made a cinnamon water infusion a few days ago and sprayed it on the growing cups and it helped (and seems to have been fine with the seedlings).
Checking in on the Venus Flytrap seedlings planted August 14th (https://layer8.space/@chillicampari/110889383958833601) and they're germinating. This setup with the live moss seems to use less water than last year's, but soil algae appeared quickly. I'm planning on leaving the top dome off longer during the day for better ventilation but not messing with it too much until the seeds are more established. Seed pics are blurry, couldn't get a good one today.
The other planting I did earlier tonight was really structured, and this time fairly random. This one is Sphagnum moss, two types of Drosera/Sundew seeds (and leftover stalks after shaking them out), and a group of Pinguiculas/Butterworts (and divisions) that has never really done well. Late in the process I saw some white flecks so ended up treating it with organic pesticide and I have no idea how this is going to turn out.
I placed some of the Venus Flytrap seeds in the growing container I'd prepared a couple of days ago and put it on the window sill in my office. Now I leave it alone for a while except for checking water and airing it out about once a day. The rest of the seeds went into the refrigerator.
