I went to a freshened. contemporary version of the musical The Wiz last night. It was fabulous - more Stephanie Mills than Diana Ross , if you understand the reference. The new Dorothy is Nichelle Lewis has a powerful voice. Saw it in Baltimore at the start of the tour. They will be in the DMV towards end of Oct and in NY in the spring, where Wayne Brady will take over as the Wiz.
