#Myside#bias is me google searching "What is the youngest recommended age for reading the Lord of the Rings to a child?" and stopping my search only when I've found a page that says 4 years old. Even if I have to make that page myself! 🙃
@WorldImagining@cognition You’ll be very hard pushed to find a child below 12 who can read it unaided and competently. Nowadays you’d struggle to find an adult who can do it without a dictionary of thesaurus!
@WorldImagining@cognition my 5 year old listens to me reading The Hobbit but I don't think he gets it. The 7 year old is kind of borderline, more into Minecraft Zombie books
