FlyingSquid, 9 months ago I’ve eaten insects several times and, with one exception, they tasted fine once you got over the ick factor. Longicorn beetle larvae and grasshoppers tasted nutty, like pecans. Ants tasted citrusy, probably because of the formic acid. The only one I didn’t like was giant water bug, because it had a juniper taste to it and I don’t like that particular taste.
