I am a little excited to do something a bit hands on again. I support pharma research, so I’ll get to see lots of cool equipment and talk with people doing great things. Many of the scientists I used to work with were working on avian flu, which has been devastating to many birds.
Over the years I’ve also had a chance to talk with people that developed the special coatings used on the James Webb Space Telescope, down on to the people at Fleischman’s. I was just as excited to talk to them, because I’ve done way more being than astronomy!
Not looking forward to commuting and not getting fresh breakfast and lunch anymore, but it’s a big company so hopefully someday I can get something back closer to home or find another remote data job if I keep up my skills.
