Saw this post on the Glen Helen Raptor Center Facebook page while looking for today’s owl of the day and it seemed like something you guys would enjoy....
I looked into sponsoring a White Faced Scops Owl for us, but they were all in the UK or Africa and were all parts of packages that came with physical items and perks, so that all sounded a bit involved. Even if I did that though, I know there’s going to be owls I’ll never be able to find to adopt. I know this, because I...

I know these aren’t the best photos, I’m no photographer, I’m just using my phone, and they didn’t bring any of the animals out, so they’re all being either 2 or 4 layers of protection. I hope you still enjoy them....
After the last mega post, someone mentioned feathers as the next topic. I was amazed at the response the first write up got, so here we are again. Just a reminder, I’m not any kind of expert, so ask this is from a couple days of Internet research. If you feel I’ve posted something incorrect, let me know. Otherwise, I hope...
In looking up the Pueo today, I learned Hawaii also had some giant terrestrial owls, somewhat like the large flightless birds in Australia/NZ. Sadly, they disappeared after people came around, so there is no real evidence of what they looked like. All we know is from remaining bones....
