If anything, it goes to show that Star Wars has abandoned all pretense of a cohesive narrative in favor of silly incoherent McGuffins. If the story no longer matters, what are we doing here? I'm an adult, I deserve better than someone jangling shiny keys at me to hold my attention. I loved Star Wars, but Star Wars doesn't love me.
