? I started Wolf at Bay, the Sequel to Wolf at the Door. I find it fascinating that the main character, though gay and out, has so many issues stemming from toxic masculinity. Will be interested to see if that gets explored throughout the series.

I actually remembered wrong -- the main character, Cooper, isn't out to his family. So maybe that process will help him let go of some of his toxic masculinity? We shall see....

@willaful @romancelandia @romancebooks I started Cathy Yardley's Role Play, which I am really enjoying. I laughed yesterday because the author is in my state and both the MC and I drove to Spokane Valley on the 'same' day.

@willaful I'm reading an ARC for Slashing Through the Snow, the third in a cozy mystery series; I sort of get what it's going for, but the twee Christmassy sweetness grates on me, and the writing can get pretty tortured in parts:
"I shook my twenty-eight-year-old head" (Chapter 4)

Next up is A Moment in Crime, which is just the most fabulous title; it's the second in the Santa Fe Revival cozy series--fingers crossed (author is Amanda Allen aka Amanda McCabe)
