The cartridge art was always so kickass. You just had to use your imagination quite a bit... ( startrek.website )

I’ve recently been on an old school RPG kick and picked up Chrono Trigger which is a phenomenal game. Any other suggestions on similar games?
The Open Source Cartridge Reader is a great diy project for dumping your own roms and saves. If you order a kit with the surface mount components already installed, it’s also a great beginner soldering project.
I used to have a 32x back in the day, but you know, Sega did what they did, and it didn’t really pan out. I thought the mushroom system was cool tech, but lamented how little value it added to the Genesis. I essentially gave it away....
Dragon’s Lair
Modern power module to replace the old rusty one, cleaned edge connector, fixed cracks in the case, new coat of paint, and metallic stickers.

Just dumped out my small bin of GBA games.
I can try to answer any questions, but it doesn’t seem like the 8bitdo Ultimate software is availible for download yet. Im not big into mechanical keyboards, this is actually my first, so I don’t have much direct comparison experience to other keyboards....
Took all my games out of their protective cases and dumped them out on the table. Sometimes it’s just satisfying to rummage through a bunch of carts, hold them in your hands, and admire the label art. Does anyone else periodically do this with their physical games?

I feel as if I’ve been hanging out at the arse-end of the 80s a lot recently, comparing ports on computers that had no business running them. I’ve long suspected that if you want to see 8-bit micros at their best, you’re better served hanging around in 1986 rather than 1989. Things were so much more achievable back then…...

I installed Ignited via SideStore. No Jailbreaking necessary. Not computer tether. SideStore can renew the side loaded emulator every 7 days when on WiFi. The iPhone is perfect for DS emulation with a stylus....
Everyone knows about Final Fight, right? This 1989 Capcom beat 'em up feels almost genre defining, even though it was not the first beat 'em up of its type. Nevertheless, it cast a long shadow over games that came after it, especially those released by Capcom....
Years ago I inherited my wife’s family’s Game Gear. After a recap, and replacing the backlight, I started tracking down games to play on it. It’s been great exploring a whole library of games that I skipped out on as a kid! (I was a Nintendo kid) Now I have a nice little library of carts to play on this beast of a 90’s...
I made it earlier this year, thought I would share. Now my VB can safely travel with me!
I helped for the battles and reading the dialogues but he did all the exploring by himself. He’s so thrilled, but also sad it’s over. Now I’m hesitant between Pokemon FireRed (he loves Pokemon but that a lot more text to read) or PaperMario TTYD (but we don’t have a switch for the remaster version). Any other ideas for...
New clear black shell to fit the IPS screen v3 from funny playing (no soldering needed! This is awesome, I can control the screen with just a touch on the GBA logo). I also added a rechargeable usb c battery, so far it is already lasting 2x longer thanks when I used AA (6 hours in, with a single charge, and medium brightness +...
It came out around my birthday, so my mom had it pre-ordered for me as a gift from Babbage’s. I still remember her picking me up from school and telling me she had a surprise for me in the trunk.
