I left Reddit for Lemmy, but I don't like it.
I found out why Lemmy censors, this is safe space for leftists. Goodbye nig nags

Some collective band of childish fucking rejects got my account banned because I wanted an open discussion on an innocent post. But just because the post asked for open minded thoughts, they thought it was best to bombard it with shitty jokes and when I did not like their shitty jokes, they all got mad at me and derailed the...
For years, I was a very prominent community member on r/vans (different username). I have been a very large content creator there and loved the community, but I’m thru with reddit....
I barely use reddit anymore save for porn and niche subs but after that glorious app I had used for ages finally died a few days ago I felt devastated. it was like losing an old friend. I hope reddit dies an even slower and more painful death
Thinking of buying reddit accounts with a bunch of karma on them already to be able to post on subreddits unrestricted....
I posted a comment with a link to an article on CNN and several links to architecture and construction websites. It seems like reddit doesn’t like comments with untrusted links? Are they being subtly hidden from the thread?...
What could go wrong?...
I’m not seeing it show up on r/all or r/place with old. I wonder if its a cheeky way to get some of the old reddit users to switch over.
Instead of blacking out communities or making them private why don’t moderators just migrate their community to lemmy while keeping the subreddit closed (with the only post on the sub being the link to the lemmy community)?
The greatest thing about Reddit is finding information on any old topic. For today, I wanted to dig deeper into My Dinner With Andre. RIF tried to open (he’s such a trooper 😢) and when that failed I went to the browser....
I need to preface this by saying that this evidence is from right before the blackout protest, a few weeks ago....
As the title says. So done with Reddit’s BS. Set r/thingswerebetter to private, uninstalled the app. Not going back there unless I Google something and the only answer I can find is there.
Hello c/Reddit! As you may have noticed from the fancy “A” next to his name on his posts around Lemmy, our fearless leader AvaddonLFC is now an Administrator, which means he can no longer be part of our moderation team. I have agreed to take over his communities because I believe in what we’ve all been building together as...
I’ve been doing the Internet social thing since #hottub and alt.religion.kibology. My services were thus federated before it was cool....
I haven’t gone back since Apollo shut down, and not planning to, but I am curious.
…now I pay more than €100 a year for my own Lemmy instance....
My first shadowban I think took me about 2 months to realise why I wasn’t getting any replies… I had posted numerous help topics and just started to think that Reddit wasn’t that useful anymore....
Today, not in a moment of necessity, but a moment of protest, I logged in to Reddit because I found tons of comments and posts listed on old Reddit when you sort by top or controversial....
r/Lemmy right now is full of posts basically talking about how bad Lemmy is handling right now....
It seems yesterday, Lemmy hit 916k posts, 6.2m comments in the last day (03/07/2023)....
First please don’t ban me I’m new....
I know this is the hot topic right now but let’s not let Lemmy’s default feed JUST be about the Reddit changes. Seek out your hobbies and comment/vote/post
I just got disconnected from RIF. I thought it would last until midnight, but it looks like the plug has been pulled. RIP.
u/spez says that 90% of 3rd party apps will fall under the free model because they wont make enough API calls to come under the paid model. So how many times would we need to clone, and rename, the good 3rd party apps and split the users up between them to make reddit free again?...
