Sadly sales (including responses to objections) has a script and seduction community methods are typically sales applied to hooking up. So most folk are suspicious of prepared cases.

It has been argued that our oversaturation with sales pressure has hardened us to religious missions, which is why churches are losing popularity as old members age out, young ones don’t buy into the sell.

I used sales scripting to my advantage once while at Costco. During checkout you’re (too) often approached by someone trying to upsell your Costco membership.

I find Costco stressful enough with how busy they usually are so I’m already on edge. One day during checkout this particularly aggressive person was trying to pressure me into upgrading my membership, I has already said “no thank you” twice, once when they first started speaking to me so finally if frustration a blurted out “How many no’s do you need to end this conversation?!”

They looked taken aback but replied “usually three, but I can see you don’t want this membership” and then walked away.
