At the same time, anyone with a cell signal working well enough to call for help who can't operate their phone well enough to obtain GPS coordinates probably shouldn't be leaving pavement to start with. That person is probably going to get in trouble whether their online map leads them there or not.
@ATurnOfTheNut@ai6yr I noticed the vehicle that got stuck was a 4x4… so yeah I would say they were bound for trouble at some point. Hopefully they’ll be better equipped next time.
@Laukidh@ATurnOfTheNut There's a saying the folks I know who drive sanely in 4x4 tell me: the 4x4 is to keep you OUT of trouble, not take you INTO trouble.
