Update: i didn't think about it this way before, but i need to acknowledge that the instance should be more country-specific considering potential shipping cost n stuff – the name should reflect that.
whats your opinion on using the things. subdomain for a fleamarket instance? there were other nice suggestions such as bazaar (also nice) or fleabay (this one may result in trouble) #tchncs
@milan Wenn es für die Nutzer der Instanz ist und ein Flohmarkt sein soll, wäre doch flohmarkt.tchncs.de gar nicht so schlecht. Meistens versenden menschen doch eher innerhalb von D.
@Cedara@milan Ich meine sogar in dem Vortrag zu dem Teil gehört zu haben dass regionale Instanzen eher erwünscht sind, um den Ärger mit dem Versenden zu umgehen und eben wirklich eine lokale Community für Zeug aufzubauen..

@milan "things" is basically fine but I'd go for "stuff" instead cuz like most non native English speakers I have to think hard if it's thing or think xD
just as a note: looks likelaw makes offering such a platform inconvinient and privacy intrusive. the fleamarket instance idea is on ice for now #tchncs
@milan@schnedan ich verstehe das zwar mal wieder nicht, aber es scheint wieder mal was zu sein, was guten Projekten und engagierten Leuten wie Dir sinnlos Stöcke zwischen die Beine schmeißt.
@wolf@milan Ich denke eher es ist ein Problem das man die Umsätze der Kunden der Plattformen ausweisen muss und dann ggf. nachweisen kann/soll/muss ob das geschäftlich oder Privatverkauf ist...
@milan This would be such a fun thing to have, especially since eBay has become so dominated by people overcharging for things like old computers. With how many nerdy people are on tchncs, this could be great for us retro computing enthusiasts to get some good trades in!
@dbx@Zyfdnug i kinda like this idea though its a bit long and more importantly, openbook got in trouble with facebook... i wonder if that name might be risky
