One of a drunken Silenus, reclining on an ass (Mende, Macedonia, tetrobol, 424 to 358 BCE) The other is a denarius of Julia Domna, with a reverse showing a cheeky Venus (193 to 211 CE) #AncientNumismatics #Numismatics A silver denarius shown against a black background, on obverse the bust of Julia Domna, wife of Septimius Severus (with great braided hair style), on the reverse, Venus standing, leaning against column and holding an apple and palm frond, seen from the back and naked to below waist, baring cheeks!
