@w7voa i feel that his inability to identify with people in those categories is very much connected to his seeing them as inarticulate. Proper communication requires an absence of ego, especially with people who may bring foreign contexts and perspectives.

It can't just be differences in vernacular. He confuses his failure to appreciate the meaning of what others say with their not saying anything of worth.

A good interviewer brings out the best of their subjects, whatever communication style
