@jerry the article says they don’t understand why it could be a target…. I bet if you ask anyone from Hawaii they might be able to come up with an answer. Also they used to do an insane astronomy lawn night where youd go up after dark and theyd have 10-15 different telescopes out for anyone who was interes to look through and it would be staffed. They gave wonderful talks with a laser pointer.
